Goodreads Book Description

We’re here, then we’re gone, and that was true before they came. That’s always been true. The Others didn’t invent death; they just perfected it. Gave death a face to put back in our face, because they knew that was the only way to crush us. It won’t end on any continent or ocean, no mountain or plain, jungle or desert. It will end where it began, where it had been from the beginning, on the battlefield of the last beating human heart.

Master storyteller Rick Yancey invokes triumph, loss, and unrelenting action as the fate of the planet is decided in the conclusion to this epic series.

Why I’m Excited

I fell totally head over heels in love with The Fifth Wave when it was released. I gifted it to every book lover that I knew, basically forcing it upon anyone that was willing just so that I had an excuse to keep talking about it. The Infinite Sea, though it did not draw me in quite as much as the first book, was still excellent! Therefore, it is pretty obvious why I am excited for the wrap up of this series! I will admit, that I am in desperate need of some reminders about what happened in this series thus far (it’s been 3 years since book #1 and 2 years since book #2 – I can’t remember everything!), so I am going to need to do some ramping up before I dive into this. I am also planning to watch the movie adaption of The Fifth Wave before I start this, because I still haven’t done that yet either, and I think it will just make me (if possible) even more excited to finish the series.

So Tell Me

What book have you recently added to your TBR list that you can’t wait to read?

Aaah I had this as my WoW last week! I just can’t wait for the book to come out. Granted I still need to read the Infinite Sea, which does have some bad reviews, so I’m really hesitant. But once I have this book I hope that’ll be enough incentive to get me finishing the series!
I watched the movie adaptation last week for the 5th Wave and I’m sad to say I really hated it. I think you should still watch it and decide for yourself of course, but I thought it was terrible 😦
