Goodreads Book Description

Who will be left after lights out?

At Cate’s isolated boarding school, Killer is more than a game- it’s an elite secret society. Members must avoid being “Killed” during a series of thrilling pranks, and only the Game Master knows who the “Killer” is. When Cate’s finally invited to join the Assassins’ Guild, she know it’s her ticket to finally feeling like she belongs.

But when the game becomes all too real, the school threatens to shut it down. Cate will do anything to keep playing and save the Guild. But can she find the real assassin before she’s the next target?

Originally published in the United Kingdom by Chicken House in 2015 under title: Killer game.

Why I’m Excited

As I’m sure it does for almost everyone, this book immediately reminds me of Panic by Lauren Oliver, which I thoroughly enjoyed. What immediately drew me to this book was the cover, talk about creepy! The games in these books tap into my inner child, because I can remember playing similar things when I was younger (not to the extent of this or Panic, unfortunately). It’s a fun way to reminisce, and it’s always fun to be a little thrilled and scared too! I was lucky enough to get an advanced copy of this (I mean, I guess technically it’s not that advanced since this is already published in the UK, but I surely hadn’t gotten my hands on it from over there!) to review, so be on the lookout for my review coming soon!

I haven’t seen this book in the UK actually but thanks for posting about it because I’m definitely gonna go grab a copy now! I loved Panic by Lauren Oliver, but this sounds even creepier which is great!
